Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 Pound GROUND TURKEY
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 19 Ounce Can tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- 1 5-1/2 Ounce Can tomato paste
- 1/2 Cup water
- 1/4 Cup dry red wine
- 2 Stalks celery, chopped
- 1 Medium carrot, chopped
- 1 Teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1 Teaspoon dried oregano leaves
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, heat the vegetable oil and saute the turkey with the onion and garlic until the onion is soft and the turkey is no longer pink. Do not overcook the turkey.
- Add the remaining ingredients and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and quickly reduce the heat. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
